CCOO: NUMBER ONE IN HYPOCRYSY AND CORRUPTION
Everybody knows that the multinational Repsol-YPF speculated and exploited so far (taking millions in profits) with the oil resources of the people of Argentina. It was the spearhead of economic expansion, imperialist policy of Spain and European capital markets in Latin America, and one of the former Spanish colonies.
After the Argentine government's decision to nationalize the oil company YPF is amazing (for those who still do not know the dependence growing proportion of the IMF and the multinationals, trade unions affiliated to the ITUC International Trade Union Confederation) reaction Spanish trade unions CCOO and UGT to "show their disapproval and rejection of government decisions regarding Argentine YPF". Unions that even, for many (too many) Spanish exploited , remain "defenders of the rights of workers."
The CCOO statement that reads verbatim "CCOO reiterates its opposition to the Argentine government's decision, calling it great wrong, and evaluate the efforts of the Spanish government and the direction of the company to defend the social, political, economic and legal aspects which are involved. The direction of CCOO is not concerned that "the Executive" is the PP, the former fascist and very pro-Franco Spanish capitalists.
It is unacceptable for any defender of justice and equity, which, to confuse the class consciousness of the exploited Spanish, as a union CCOO, many years ago was a militant union, publicly supports the interests of a multinational oil company and criticize the nationalization of natural resources of a people, in this case the Argentine. It is obvious that many European unions earn money and perks, with their participation in the institutions of the bourgeois system, the exploitation of sources of Earth's natural resources.
The main argument of the leadership of CCOO is that this decision will cause damage to shareholders and small shareholders of Repsol. However, Respsol has adapted quickly to the expropriation of YPF in Argentina. Excluding this subsidiary, the group obtained (while workers suffer more cuts every day) to March net profit of 643 million euros, up 12.4%. If you add YPF, the result was 792 million, up 3.5% over first quarter last year. All that exploting their workers and continuing the colonial European marketplace.
The leadership of the CCOO and UGT go hand in hand of multinationals and capitalists, how your Confederation (ITUC) when applauds the decisions of the G8 at its recent meeting this May. This is a typical example of the interests they defend these two unions, which receive (little compared to what they get in return multinationals that control the IMF, World Bank and the G-8) every year large sums of money Spanish government and a much higher amount of the EU (European Union). The amount received by these organizations in 2010 from the central state budget in Spain exceeds 10 million euros. Some of the money went to "union investments" in Central and Latin America.
There is no room today for self-mistaken, the leadership of yellow unions are not going to change course, and will not lead the class struggle. They are not interested in its objectives. In fact in their documents and proclamations they have been talking about "social partners" instead of "social classes". Even their language is more docile and “tamed”.
Central America, the Caribbean and Latin America should know that the old CCOO (which for decades fought against Franco's fascist dictatorship, those who paid their heroic struggle with dozens killed, with hundreds of thousands tortured and imprisoned, fired and exiled , which were affiliated to the WFTU to always support them against the dictator) do not exist. They sank in the midst of corruption, financial scandals and the approach to the multinationals.
Given this reality, only the Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) has an authentic position of defending the interests of employees, a clear class position and we must be congratulated for this. It has shown, since its foundation in Paris on October 3, 1945, being the only independent International and combative Trade Union.
The WSF took away (April 20, 2012) a statement that began: "The WFTU because of the strained relations between Argentina and Spain argues that it is unacceptable that the transnational and the monopolies plunder the wealth of natural resources of each country. "He added:" The WFTU expresses its solidarity with the struggle of class unions of Argentina requiring the cessation of capitalist exploitation, the suspension of stealing the natural wealth of the country by REPSOL-YPF and other corporations. "
The state Spanish class Unions we agree with these statements and also with the conclusion that ended the text of the WSF: "For the working class and peoples of all continents , the fundamental and ultimately solution will not be given by international rivalries inter capitalist but through the socialization of business monopolies and cartels. "
A class and internationalist greeting
