The WFTU General Secretary George
Mavrikos met today with the Ex-General Secretary of the WFTU cde Pierre
Gensous. The metal worker Pierre Gensous was elected WFTU General Secretary in
its 7th Congress in 1965. It was an interesting meeting with a special symbolic
meaning. Today he lives in a village in the area of Labenne, South
France , in his hometown, where the meeting was held. G.Mavrikos
has invited P.Gensous to visit the WFTU Headquarters as soon as his health
condition allows him to travel.
